Dr. James F. Ford Jr. is a true "blue blood" family member, representing three generations of law enforcement, with over thirty years of police experience. He is a retired police officer with vast experience in patrol, criminal investigations and administration. Dr. Ford began his academic career teaching criminal justice as an adjunct at the College of Saint Elizabeth, County College of Morris and Grand Canyon University while earning his doctorate degree.


When Jim is not teaching or writing, he and his wife enjoy ballroom dancing and spending time with their children and grandchildren here and in Vermont.

Currently, Dr. Ford is a Professor of Criminal Justice and Director of the Graduate Program in Justice Administration and Public Service at the College of Saint Elizabeth, a consultant in Criminal Justice and a licensed private investigator.
